Migration and family
Umm Salama, whose name was Hind, accepted Islam with her first husband Abu Salama. They experienced migration to Abyssinia and the difficulties of resettlement in Madinah.

Teaching after Muhammad ﷺ
She transmitted hadith on worship, family matters, and events in the prophetic household. Her long later life allowed students of the following generation to seek her knowledge. Sources differ over her exact lifespan.
