Work and early belief
Khabbab experienced enslavement and worked as a blacksmith in Makkah. He accepted Islam early and suffered mistreatment because of his faith, becoming a prominent example of the community’s vulnerable early members.

Teaching and migration
Biographical accounts associate him with teaching Qur’anic passages to other believers. He migrated to Madinah and participated in major events of Muhammad’s ﷺ lifetime, including Badr.
