Teaching and interpretation
After Muhammad’s ﷺ death, she became an important teacher in Madinah. Students consulted her on hadith, law, and interpretation; her reports also corrected or clarified accounts transmitted by others.

Public life
Aisha participated in the political conflict that led to the Battle of the Camel in 656. She later returned to Madinah and continued teaching. Muslim traditions differ in their evaluation of her political role while preserving extensive reports associated with her learning.
